Gael Etock, who turned 17 last month, plays as a striker for FC Barcelona’s Juvenil A team. He joined Barcelona in the summer of 2006 through a mutual foundation formed between FC Barcelona and Samuel Eto’o in Cameroon to help children with education and football. The above goal was scored at the beginning of last season by Etock.
In case you haven’t heard about Paul, the oracle octopus, here’s a bit of background. Based in Oberhausen, Germany, Paul has gained some notariety during the World Cup by correctly predicting Germany’s five previous matches, including the 1-0 loss to Serbia. Since the European Cup in 2008, Paul’s overall record is 9-1. His only inaccurate prediction so far was the last time Germany and Spain met, in the Euro final in 2008, where he indicated a Germany victory. Spain won the match 1-0. We can only hope that Paul is more accurate this time around, with the chance to have eight blaugrana players involved in the final.
