Speaking in an interview with German newspaper Bild, Hamburger SV forward and Dutch international Eljero Elia (23) has set his sights to one of Europe’s biggest football clubs, including Barcelona. The young forward has been linked with a move away from Hamburg and numerous clubs are reportedly interested in Elia.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez shared his thoughts with Catalan newspaper El Periodico de Catalunya. He spoke about being selected as a finalist for the Ballon d’Or award alongside his Barcelona colleagues Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, and added that their selection represents appreciation of the team’s success as a whole.
Portuguese sports paper O’Jogo reports that Barcelona would be interested in Benfica defender and Portuguese international Fabio Coentrao (22). The Catalan club will send a scout to watch Coentrao when Benfica host Olhanense on Friday with an intention to make a bid for the left back during January’s transfer window.
Spanish radio station Cadena SER claims that Barcelona would be interested in Napoli forward and Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani (23). Cavani has been in exceptionally good form during this season, netting nine goals in the Italian league and helping his team climb to the third place of the league table. Barcelona’s board reportedly believes that the Uruguayan striker would fit in well with the likes of Lionel Messi and Pedro Rodriguez.
Speaking in an interview with the club’s official website, Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola praised Bojan Krkic for his two goals against Almeria on Saturday and emphasized the fact that he never lost faith in the young striker. Bojan found the net twice in Barcelona’s 0-8 away victory against Almeria in the Spanish League. He had been struggling for goals at the start of the season but has now began to score regularly, making Guardiola pleased.
Barcelona’s sporting director Antoni Zubizarreta shared his thoughts with the club’s official website. Barcelona has not yet agreed personal terms with PSV Eindhoven midfielder and Dutch international Ibrahim Afellay (24), but Zubizarreta is reportedly confident that Afellay joins the Catalan club during January. According to Zubizarreta, Afellay will not have any problems adapting to Barcelona.
Catalan sports paper Sport reports that Barcelona would be interested in Villarreal forward and Italian international Giuseppe Rossi (23). Barcelona head coach Josep Guardiola has reportedly decided that Rossi would be a suitable transfer target for next season. After the victory over Villarreal on last Saturday, Guardiola was reportedly very impressed by the former Manchester United striker. Rossi has been in a good form during this season, netting seven goals in eleven matches for Villarreal in the Spanish League.
Speaking in an interview with Globo Esporte, Barcelona loan-out striker Keirrison (21) has declared his desire to return to Barcelona and succeed. Since being signed from Palmeiras in 2009, Keirrison has been loaned out to Benfica, Fiorentina and Santos, but has not given up hope about a return to the Catalan club.

Bojan, who inherited the number 9 shirt after Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic moved to AC Milan on loan, has not been living up to the big expectations and is reportedly looking for an exit from the Catalan club.
Catalan newspaper El Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona would be interested in Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Japanese international Shinji Kagawa (21). Kagawa, who has made an impressive start in the German Bundesliga, has reportedly attracted the interest of Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola, who sees Kagawa’s playing style fitting into Barcelona’s system.
