Messi, as we know him on the field, is a magnificent player that possesses a fast paced dribble, sublime technique, explosive changes of pace, and great timing that turns him into a one man show. On the field Messi is anything but dull, and his gallery of individually won trophies, as well as those won with Barcelona, just go to show that. But Veron has added another trophy, that of the loudest snorer!
FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta has been acknowledged as saying that a negotiation for the transfer of Barcelona forward and French international Thierry Henry (32) is currently being worked on. “He is very popular in the MLS and there’s a lot of interest in him,” Laporta told the media, and was quoted as saying on the fcbarcelona.com website, “We are working on this and we will try to reach an agreement that suits both the club and the player.”

Everything costs a lot in Europe, everything costs a lot in the Champions League, especially when you get to the quarterfinals where no rival is a weak rival. Barca, who played great in London in the first leg, did not deserve any less than the award of reaching the semifinals, and got there with great style. And above all, with a unique role both in the game and in efficiency of Leo Messi. No one will doubt that in the 180 minutes, the club had been far superior to Arsenal. It’s true, there were several significant absences in the Arsenal side, but the team that went on to the semifinals was by far the better of the two.
FC Barcelona’s Leo Messi devours everything. Yesterday, in 90 minutes, he had himself a little “snack” of history and threw himself into the legends of the Champions League. This amazing footballer hit Cristiano Ronaldo with all his magnificent wonder and left him with nothing. Ronaldo was until yesterday the top scorer in the Champions League with seven. But after Leo’s four goals last night, the Portuguese is in the rearview mirror of the Argentine, who now has 8, and who still has the semis and possibly the final at the Bernabeu to rack up more goals.

In 2009, a Football Club along with its mastermind Pep Guardiola, managed to engrave an amazing history into the record books and onto the hearts of all fellow Cules around the world, when they managed to win six cups in one year! It wasn’t easy though, because this club had to go through the suffering of all the criticisms, of all the hatred, of all the injuries, but most importantly of all the doubts that the new players and the new couch could not possibly lift this club where its supposed to be at. Hence, many gave up on the team when they heard that a player named Ronaldinho would leave, that a second league coach would take the reigns, and that later a hunger filled lion by the name of Eto’o would be sold to an Italian Club. But Oh, how they were wrong! Because this football club known as FC Barcelona surpassed and won EVERYTHING, making them righteous to receive the title: The Best Team Of The World!
But of course, The Best Team Of The World has to have a best player. That is why this poll has been created. You all know that this magnificent year is coming to a close, but with it, we are taking a fond and jubilant memory: 6 Tournaments played and 6 Tournaments won, what a magnificent year! But everyone here at TotalBarca.com wants to hear what you have to say about this year. That is why TotalBarca.com is asking you, Who has been the Best FC Barcelona Player this year and why? Which player caught your eye on the pitch? Was it Xavi’s great passes? Ibrahimovic’s powerful shots? Dani Alves’ amazing centers? Iniesta’s demolition of Stamford Bridge? Messi’s decisive goal against Manchester United and his jaw-dropping dribbling and skills? Puyol’s fearsome defense against Real Madrid? The amazing rise of a young superstar named Pedro? Or the genius behind Guardiola? Have your say in this poll, go ahead vote. But think about it well. (And don’t let Messi’s awards fog your minds.)
It is in no doubt that 2009 has been Messi’s year. He has won every possible individual award out there and won an astonishing 6 cups with Barcelona, and not taking into importance his young age. Thanks to his hard work, Messi is now toping the TotalBarca.com Man of The Match and Man Of The Month charts. As of now he has accumulated 6 Man Of The Match Awards, and 2 Man Of The Month Awards: September and December.
Messi has even reached grand heights here at TotalBarca.com by receiving the highest percentage in a poll toping 90% leaving the second and third placed players with a mere 5%. As of now all TotalBarca.com users have casted a whopping 8,959 votes regarding who has been the best player in each game played since the launch in September.
Well the time to vote for the best this month has arrived once again. This time though, we only have three players to choose from. Thats because of their individual dedication and hard work, and because of that, they truly deserve to be among the top three this month.
The nominees are as follows:
Ibrahimovic: Voted the best against Xerez and Espanyol for scoring that penalty.
