FC Barcelona’s official site has reported that fullback Jordi Alba has left the Spanish national team camp with an injury, and returned to Barcelona to undergo further tests.
Alba has picked up an injury to his right hamstring during the Spain-Finland World Cup qualifier on Friday, and will be out for approximately 7 to 10 days according to the Club’s Medical Services. The tests carried out on Sunday confirmed that the player has strained his hamstring in his right leg. Alba will miss Spain’s World Cup qualifier against France and his participation in Barça’s matches against Celta and Paris Saint-Germain is in doubt.
So far this season, Jordi Alba has featured in 35 matches for the blaugrana, scoring 5 goals.
