Ex-Barça and current Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimović will be able to play in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals between PSG and FC Barcelona after the UEFA Appeals Body reduced the player’s suspension to one match this Tuesday.
The Swedish striker originally faced a two match ban following a red card in the final minutes of his side’s first leg match against Valencia at the Mestalla in the Round of 16. UEFA decided to reduce his suspension to just one match after an appeal was lodged by Paris Saint-Germain. The forward already sat out one match, during the second leg against Valencia in Paris. He is now available for selection for next week’s Champions League quarter-final game.
