On the 13th of July the Camp Nou museum opened the new section named “Espai Leo Messi” to the public. This section is dedicated to the FC Barcelona forward and Argentina international Lionel Messi (26). In the museum section people will be able to view the four Ballon d’Ors and two Golden Boots that the player has won in the past few years.
This is the first time that a single player has been given a dedicated space in the Barcelona museum. Included in this section are two interactive tables and the public will be able to view all of Messi’s goals with the first team.
Jordi Penas, the museum director had the following to say about the new section: “It was a demand of the visitors. They wanted to be closer to the Barça hero. This area of the museum increases its offerings. It makes it clear that FC Barcelona is [fueled by] emotions and feelings and also to discover our history, there is also a world of illusion and fantasy.”
At the moment the Camp Nou museum is open from 9:30 to 19:00 on Monday to Saturday and 9:30 to 14:30 on Sundays and holidays.
