Another comfortable win puts Infantil A in the Final

Tournament: Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy
Result: FC Barcelona Infantil A 4-0 Vitesse
Goals: Adrià Guerrero, Lee Seung Woo (2), Jordi Mola
Match time: 25×2

After winning the last group game against Stabaek from Norway earlier today, Infantil A won their group with 9 points and a goal difference of 11-0. Next up was the semi-final, played against Vitesse Arnhem from Holland, who finished in second place in the other group after BK Frem from Denmark.

The Barça boys played like they had in the previous games, taking control of everything from the very beginning. From the start it seemed like Vitesse would play a very physical game to make it hard for Barça, but it didn’t help as they just couldn’t cope with the blaugrana boys. Adrià Guerrero found the net after only 5 minutes, putting Barça up 1-0. Vitesse played hard and made the game more difficult for Barça than the previous games had been, but there was still a huge difference in class between the two teams. Martínez had a great chance that nearly went past everyone, getting the ball to his teammates in the penalty area but the ball went just over the goal.  Just before halftime, in the 20th minute, the second goal arrived, a goal even the first team would have been proud of, from a great team play which ended with Lee Seung Woo finding the net.

The second half would emphasize the differences between the two squads even more, but Barça’s great efforts didn’t always end up in the net. The chances for Vitesse were still there and the boys from Holland tried their best, but without any success. For Barça, more goals would come as Martínez found Batalla out on the right wing, who got the cross in to Lee Seung Woo to make it 3-0. The other Korean in the team, Jang Gyeolhee, was close to making it 4-0 but the ball went just over the bar. Minutes later, the 4-0 would come though as Jordi Mola made a great shot from outside the penalty area that ended up in the top left corner of the goal. It was a marvelous goal and a great game once again by the blaugrana boys, who still have yet to let in a goal in the tournament.

The goal difference for our boys now stands at 15-0, and they are big favorites to win the entire tournament.

The final will be played tomorrow at 10:00 against Red Star Belgrade, who Barça beat 4-0 in the group stage by 4-0.

The final will be showed on Swedish tv channel TV4 Sport and also on this stream.

We will also live tweet the game on totalBarça’s official twitter account.
