Why on Earth would somebody think of selling Alves? He gives us so many options. He is the player with the greatest number of assists despite being a defender. Are we being serious here?

Yeah but these are like fishing lures. I have 08-09 home jersey. Still looked sortof of traditional with the 2 colors and distinct lines. These look like first-year graphics course experiments to me.

Aguero, I agree 110%. He is amazing, and may even score 30-40 goals a season.

On Silva…. I would rather buy Hummels or Vertonghen. Have we not learned our lesson from buying old players for mega millions?

On your lineup… Fabregas in the midfield is crazy, maybe for when Xavi sits out, but Busquets HAS to start. He is irreplaceable, just after Messi. Abidal will probably not be here next season unfortunately, and if he is, I still think we should purchase a new left back.

Busquets not starting for one. Our entire defensive formation is based around his versatility. I have other problems with your suggestions, but Busquets is almost as irreplaceable as Messi.

i think alot of comments here are missing the point.

The idea is not Zabeleta being a DIRECT replacement for alves.. Alves is our main RB, and plays 90% of the games. the idea is, for Montoya (instead of playing a game or 2 every 3-4 months) to become more prominent in the side, maybe play 60% of the games, and have Zabeleta as a replacement, a mature head to bring on when we need to… sort of like silvinho was for us a few years back.

Zabeleta wouldnt be our main RB in a sense, he would help Montoya to shoulder the load until he is completely ready. I think it makes great sense, especially if Zabeleta is ready to play a bit part role in the squad, as he can also fill in at LB if needed too.

I love Suarez. However, I think the need of more attacking players is overstated. Tello and Cuenca will be a year older and we have numerous attacking players coming up in the next few years. Having said that, if we insist on spending 25-30 million on a striker/winger, then Suarez would probably be my choice. Also, the whole racist thing is overstated as it is a calling someone "negro" in Spanish (especially if said person is from South America) is not an insult. It is possible that he did know exactly what he was doing, but its also possible that he was not seeking to cause offense or was ignorant as to how offensive the word is in English.
