As some (if not all) of you have noticed, the comments to some of the pieces we post are getting, well, a little out of hand. This sort of things makes it difficult for a site like ours to remain credible and respected by readers and other interested stakeholders. We do the best we can with moderation but things slip by every now and again due to manpower and to be honest, we really don’t think it’s a good thing if we have to continually babysit the totalBarça community. Especially, when it’s a community that is supposed to be respectful and for the common love and support of FC Barcelona.
Over the last few months, we have been thinking about a number of methods to keep the community as amicable and above board as possible. Rather than closing down commenting altogether, which would defeat the purpose of a fan community, we will be putting into place Facebook-based commenting. The team at totalBarça believes it is the best alternative that is out there and we seek your full and continued support in this endeavour. Going forward, please ensure to keep your comments sensible and respectable so we can all feel welcome to being part of this community.
Everyone that visits totalBarça helps lead to our ultimate vision of supporting UNICEF and we hope that you will continue to support us.
