I think the thing to remember about Romeu is that Barca didn't think he was good enough to keep twelve months ago. I'm in no position to assess him, but I'd be really surprised if Barca decided he'd improved over the course of a season with Chelsea, when he really didn't get to play very often.

bout a cb, i think now with the need for one, i believe that masche will get even more playing time and have no doubts that he can fill this position out, so to me, to bring martínez isn't a bad idea anymore, as he could be 2in1, cb and mf, also to replace keita…but nevertheless only for the right prize…just my opinion

also want to say, that i respect him, as he said the truth by himself, when he admitted that it is because of the money…but somehow, even if he said it, i just think it isn't the whole truth…i guess, as a guy with his pride and mentality he wanted a club where he gets more playing time, especially as he reached an age, where you realize that your end comes nearer (footballer by themselves know), and why not going to a club, where the money is right, where you seen as a star, and at least be able to play mooore years as in clubs that are more competitive…

again, to me, liked him, i'm thankful for what he did, for the positive games where he helped us, and wish him the best, also because of respect, as he, again, was honest enough not to hide his reasons…
