Xavi returns to group training
Xavi Hernández was able to return to group training this Thursday morning at the session held by FC Barcelona’s first team at the Ciutat Esportiva. The midfielder from Terrassa missed the last two League games against Rayo Vallecano and Malaga with a torn soleus muscle in his left leg.
The players were right back at work after their win on Wednesday against Malaga at the Camp Nou. As usual after a match, the starting XI held a milder session focused on recovery, while the rest of the squad continued working at the normal pace with Saturday’s derbi against Espanyol in mind (21:00). For his part, Gerard Piqué again worked outside of the group.
Joining in today’s session were Barça B players Tello, Bartra, Montoya, and Oier, and four players from Juvenil A: Samper, Bagnack, Ernesto, and Quesada.
