In a recent interview with German publication De Telegraaf, Arsenal icon Arsene Wenger has revealed his ongoing frustration at the transfer policies of big clubs, including FC Barcelona, who have made a habit of luring his best players away from London. Speaking specifically about Barcelona and Manchester City, the outspoken French manager had this to say: “There are times when people set out to destroy your work. I’ve lost Nasri, Clichy and Fabregas at an age when they could have made a real difference for Arsenal.” Fortunately the interviewer failed to remind Wenger about Overmars and Petit or we might have seen a real meltdown.
