Wednesday training with most of the internationals

After ten days with only a small group available, a number of Barça’s international players were back for a training session this Wednesday afternoon in Sant Joan Despí. Joining Tito Vilanova’s group were the players who had represented Spain (Valdés, Alba, Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi, Pedro, Cesc, and Villa), Brazil (Adriano), and Spain’s U-21 side (Bartra and Montoya).

Mascherano, Messi and Alexis, who played late on Tuesday evening in Chile, as well as Song, dealing with bureaucratic problems, didn’t arrive in time for Wednesday’s session. The three players should be back by Thursday afternoon’s training, when Tito will have his whole squad available to begin preparing for Saturday’s visit to Deportivo.

Of the injured members of the team, Gerard Piqué has progressed to doing recovery work on the pitch on his own. Joining the first team for today’s session were eight players from Barça B: Tello, Patric, Lombán, Sergi Roberto, Sergi Gómez, Masip, Deulofeu, and Grimaldo.
