The team led by Josep Guardiola held its penultimate training session this Wednesday morning ahead of the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Club de Bilbao at the Vicente Calderón stadium on Friday. Today’s session was the last one to be held at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper before the final, as the squad will move to the Camp Nou to train on Thursday.
As has been typical the last few sessions, today’s training involved all the available members of the first team, along with B team players Montoya, Bartra, Dos Santos, and Tello. Working again with the group were Alexis and Pinto, who haven’t received their medical clearance yet. On this occasion, Josep Guardiola decided to also call up for training two players from Juvenil A: defenders Sergio Ayala and Brian Olivan.
The next training session will be on Thursday, behind closed doors at the Camp Nou, starting at 19:00. This will be Barça’s final training session before traveling, on Friday morning, to Madrid. Josep Guardiola will attend a press conference tomorrow ahead of the Cup final.
