On Tuesday afternoon at the Camp Nou, beginning at 19:00, Barça’s first team held its final training session before tomorrow’s match at the Santiago Bernabéu, the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup. For this match, as is usual when there is a title at stake, Tito Vilanova has decided to travel to Madrid with all the members of his squad, except for Abidal and Muniesa.
At today’s session, Thiago, who trained partly with the group on Monday, again worked with the rest of his teammates. Carles Puyol, who fractured his right cheekbone over the weekend playing against Osasuna, spent part of the session training with the rest of the players. Also present was Tello, from Barça B.
The team is due to depart the Camp Nou tomorrow at 10:15 for El Prat Airport, where the squad’s plane will take off at 11 with an expected arrival time in Madrid of 11:55. After landing, the players will held directly to their hotel, from where they will travel to the Santiago Bernabéu ahead of the 22:30 kick-off time for the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid. After the game, Tito Vilanova’s squad will head back to Barcelona at 2 am, landing in Catalunya an hour later.
