After four days off, FC Barcelona’s first team returned to work this Tuesday morning. With the players on international duty still absent, only Jonathan dos Santos trained on the pitch of the Ciutat Esportiva, joining Barça B for the session. José Manuel Pinto, similar to last week, continued to do specific work in the gym, alongside the squad’s injured players: Éric Abidal (who has returned from Vall d’Aran), Thiago, Puyol, Piqué, Alves, and Cuenca.

Also absent was defender Andreu Fontàs, who on Monday completed a move to Mallorca on loan through June 30th.

Over the next two days, the international players are expected to return to Barcelona. With his full squad available, Tito Vilanova will begin preparing for the team’s next Liga match, against Deportivo at the Riazor on Saturday.
