FC Barcelona’s first team, accustomed to exercising at the Ciutat Esportiva the day after a match, have this Thursday altered their usual routine by training at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti, part of Inter Milan’s training base. The Club arranged this measure in anticipation of the general strike throughout Spain today (March 29). The team will return to Barcelona on Friday.
These facilities, located in Milan, are usually where Inter’s youth ranks work (through the Juvenil age range), with about 20 of the youngsters living in residence. In fact, watching Barça’s session were technical director Marco Branca and sporting director Piero Ausilio, who spent some time talking with Josep Guardiola and Andoni Zubizarreta.
The session, under bright sunshine, consisted of recovery work for the starters against AC Milan.
After the session, the players dined together at the hotel, followed by free time in the afternoon. The squad will then eat dinner together at the hotel at 21:00.
