Following the 0-5 victory away at Rayo Vallecano, Barça held a training session this Sunday at midday at the Ciutat Esportiva. The blaugrana group has begun to prepare for Tuesday’s Copa del Rey match against Alavés at the Mendizorroza stadium.

The starters in Vallecas held a gentler session focused on recovery. The rest of the players, including Mascherano, trained normally with the ball for the Copa. Joining the first team members for today’s session were Tello, Masip, Araujo, Quintillà, Espinosa, and Miguel Angel, from Barça B. The injured players continued with their specific recovery work.

Barça will hold its next training session on Monday morning. Afterwards, the coaching staff will release the 16 man squad list for Tuesday and Tito Vilanova will speak at a press conference. The match against Alavés will be on Tuesday at 22:00.
