Tito: “I am happy for Villa”

As Diario Sport reports, speaking at the press conference after the game against Dinamo, Tito Vilanova analysed the situation of the team. ”I think we are at a good level, playing good football. We have a group of players that have been able to do a solid four weeks of training. But today, the field wasn’t in very good condition, so I couldn’t try and give more minutes to the players that went to the last Eurocup, I didn’t want to risk them. That affected my plans a bit.”

On Villa’s comeback, Tito pointed out that, despite the good news, everyone needs to be cautious. ”I already said it will all depend on how he feels. I talked to the doctors and physiotherapists and they told me David could play a few minutes, so it’s important to take it step by step. We missed him last season, he is a very important player for us.”

Speaking about Carles Puyol’s absence from the game today, Tito said, “he just has a small injury.” Barça’s coach also didn’t want to comment on the goalkeeper he will pick to play the Supercopa in two weeks. “There is still some time for the Supercopa, so there’s no point in deciding this today. I will see how the players arrive after the upcoming games with their national teams, and then we will decide about the keeper and the rest of the players.”
