FC Barcelona’s first team returned to training only 12 hours after the victory against Alavés in the Copa del Rey (3-1). At the session, which focused on recovery for Wednesday’s starters, the seven players who were rested for the Copa match were back with the group (Valdés, Piqué, Alba, Sergio, Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi).
Absent from today’s session, however, was Adriano Correia, who scored the first goal against Alavés on Wednesday evening. The player has a virus and his condition will be checked by the Club’s Medical team again on Friday. Injured players Alexis and Bartra spent the session training on the pitch apart from the group. Joining the first team members for the this Thursday’s session were Barça B footballers Tello, Oier, Quintillà, Joan Roman, and Sergi Gómez.
The team will hold its next training session on Friday, at 11 in the morning, which will be the penultimate session before receiving the visit of Athletic Club Bilbao on Saturday (20:00).
