Barça had almost its full first team squad back for Thursday’s training session, as the team continues to prepare for the first League match of the season against Real Sociedad on Sunday. The one exception was Alexis Sánchez, who played on Wednesday with Chile in New York. The rest of the international players were back, with the footballers who played more extensive roles with their national teams on Wednesday doing recovery work.

Unlike Wednesday’s session, Carles Puyol and Jonathan Dos Santos trained normally with their teammates today. Completing the group were Tello, Sergio Roberto, and goalkeeper Bañuz, from Barça B. Thiago Alcántara, for his part, continued to do specific work on the sidelines.

The first team will train again on Friday afternoon. With all of his players finally available, it is expected that Tito Vilanova will focus on finalizing certain details ahead of the blaugrana’s La Liga debut for the 2012-13 season.
