i know it might never happen, but if it did spain would be so lost without barca players, we won them the euro and the world cup, so when its international duty spain is like "oh barcelona we need you" but when its over theyre like "you guys are less and were just gonna help out madrid" i hope one day barcelona does somthing about it, not just for us but for all the teams in the league cuz serously how many times did madrid rob teams this season?

If Scotland can successfully get its own NT, couldn't Catalunya technically get its own? Honestly I think it could match the level of Spain, if not now then in the future, what with our Masia.

That defense is already 100x better than anything Spain would muster, and the midfield is world class as well. The only questionable place would be the forward line, but then again we have more midfielders and forwards to monitor the progress of.

This is just for kicks, I don't really think Spain and Catalonia would/should seperate into two teams (although Im just a football loving neutral), but its just a damn shame that so much talent is being wasted on Spain's bench. Imagine, a squad where even the likes of Fabregas, Cazorla, Alonso, Soldado, Adrian, Mata, Thiago, Valdes, Reina, Valero, Martinez, Llorente, Muniain, etc all have trouble getting into at times!

That isnt necessarily a bad thing. Tello will never be known mostly for his tiki taka skills, his speed and crossing are what he needs. If he can learn at Atletico, and later come back, he would be a fantastic player to have as a plan B, or even plan A. Besides, I would rather see Tello learn first team football in La Liga against strong defenses then learning a little tiki taka and getting very little game time with the likes of Villa, Messi, Pedro, Alexis, Cuenca, Cesc/Iniesta/Afellay, and even a potential new signing ahead of him.

In overall Barca is better with more talented players, but excluding Messi our forward situation is a mess and may not be any better in future, if Villa and Pedro wont start producing again Barca may face another gap year, we can score goals at home but on the road the team does win enough tough games. Real has better and more effective strike force, their tridente scored 89 goals in Liga alone despite Higuain was a bench boy in many games! Thats why I am worried if we dont add new a top forward but now it seems that we cant afford to buy proper defenders either…

The latest news about Vertonghen is that Tottenham offered Ajax €12.6M plus bonuses .
Arsenal would be interested in signing him if the deal with Tottenham falls through .

I'm also Dutch and I agree that De Eredivisie is NOT up to par with the top European leagues but I still think Vertonghen is a QUALITY player with good physique and ball skills.
He can succeed at Barça . Unfortunately , we are NOT going to get him !!
