Recovery session looking ahead to Osasuna
Following the first leg victory in the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid on Thursday (3-2), FC Barcelona’s first team returned to training on Friday focused on Sunday’s league game against Osasuna. The team trained in the afternoon on pitch no. 4 of the Ciutat Esportiva. Tito Vilanova worked with all the available members of his squad, along with Tello and Miguel Bañuz from Barça B. The starters against Madrid worked at a gentler pace than the rest, and everyone trained with Sunday’s match in Pamplona as the focus.
Thiago Alcántara, who continues to recover from his tibia injury, trained on the margin of the group. Sergi Roberto, meanwhile, spent this Friday working with the reserve squad, who are preparing for the Clasico of the Second Division this weekend.
The first team will train again on Saturday morning, in a session that will begin at 9 am.
