Recovery session in new training gear
There was a happy atmosphere in Sant Joan Despí this morning. FC Barcelona, now a semi-finalist in the Copa del Rey, returned to work with a training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The match against Madrid required an enormous physical effort from the players, therefore the starters from Wednesday evening spent Thursday’s training session doing recovery work. Iniesta and Alexis were both absent, having been injured during the game.
The rest of the squad worked at the normal pace, and were joined by six players from the reserves: Sergi Roberto, Cuenca, Dos Santos, Tello, Balliu, and Rosell.
The Barça players worked this Thursday in a new colour, having switched to a new training kit. They have moved from yellow to orange. It’s in this new colour that the blaugrana will prepare for the next match, this Saturday against Villarreal at 22:00.
