“Puyol, I see you are training with a mask.  Didn’t anyone tell you Carnival is in February?”

- Gerard Piqué, who is with the national side in Las Rozas, tweeted this yesterday when he saw the the photos of Puyol training back with FC Barcelona with a facial mask to protect the broken cheekbone he sustained against Osasuna.  Puyol, the warrior he is, is no stranger to this mask.  In fact, in some of his earlier years he had it on more often than not, suffering injuries in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
