FC Barcelona’s players prepared for the 1st leg of the Spanish Super Cup this Wednesday afternoon. After a great festival and team presentation at the Camp Nou on Monday, the players were given a day and a half of rest. Alex Song, Barça’s newest player, completed his first training session with the team.

Song was accompanied by Cesc Fàbregas, and was given first hand knowledge of what it’s like at a Barça training session. The ‘rondo’ was among one of the main drills in today’s session, and the player got a taste of what it means to participate in a rondo with the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Cesc. Thiago continued his recovery apart from the group. Barça B’s Tello and Sergi Roberto were also present.

The team will train once more before the home leg of the Spanish Super Cup. The closed-door session is scheduled to take place at 12:30 at the Camp Nou. The first Barça-Madrid match of the season will kick off at 22:30.
