Preparing for Rayo Vallecano

After two days of rest, FC Barcelona returned to training this Friday morning. The session took place behind closed doors at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The squad has begun to prepare for the league match this Sunday away to Rayo Vallecano. Guardiola worked with all of his available players from the first team as well as Bartra, Tello, and Montoya from Barça B.

This Friday, Andreu Fontàs has worked on the grass of the training pitch. The blaugrana central defender had undergone arthroscopic surgery on January 21st to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee. After the surgery, it was predicted that the player would be out for approximately six months. His presence on the pitch today was part of his continuing recovery process.
