FC Barcelona players Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique and Pedro Rodriguez attended the Formula One Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya on May 13, 2012 in Barcelona. Before the race they visited the Red Bull Racing garage and met with drivers  Mark Webber and reigning F1 champion Sebastian Vettel. While the Spanish fans were rooting for countryman Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari to win, it was Williams driver Pastor Maldonado who ensured that the Spaniard settled for second and  Formula One had its first winner from Venezuela.
