This Friday morning in the office of president Sandro Rosell, Tito Vilanova has signed a new contract as coach of the first team through June 30, 2014. Present at the signing were president Rosell; vice president of the sporting area, Josep M. Bartomeu; sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta; and Vilanova’s representative.

Additionally, Jordi Roura has signed his new contract as assistant coach of the first team and Aureli Altimira as the physical trainer.

With Tito Vilanova at the helm of the first team, the continuity of the style of play recognized around the world is guaranteed. The coach from Bellcaire d’Empordà (Baix Empordà, Girona) is the 16th Catalan coach to take charge of the first team in the Club’s history.
