Monday training and squad list for Celtic
Tito Vilanova has 18 footballers available for Tuesday’s Champions League match at the Camp Nou against Glasgow-based Celtic (20:45 hours). The coach made public his squad list following training this Monday afternoon at Barça’s home stadium. Absent from the squad is Sergio Busquets, who won’t play owing to his two match ban. He joins the players who will miss the game through injury, specifically Alves, Piqué, Puyol, Thiago, Abidal, Cuenca, and Muniesa. Vilanova will be able to count on Tello, who scored one of the goals at the Riazor, as well as Sergi Roberto, who returns to the first team after spending last week with Barça B.
The first team moved its training activity to the Camp Nou for today’s official session ahead of the Champions League match. Besides all the available players working on the pitch, Dani Alves and Carles Puyol were also on the Camp Nou grass. The two players continued their recovery work on the sidelines. Gerard Piqué spent the session in the gym doing specific work.
After the session, and as is typical for Champions League matches, the players will stay together at the Arts hotel. On Tuesday, at noon, the team will hold its final session behind closed doors.
The squad list: Valdés, Pinto, Cesc, Xavi, Villa, Iniesta, Alexis, Messi, Jonathan dos Santos, Mascherano, Bartra, Pedro, Alba, Montoya, Adriano, Song, Tello, and Sergi Roberto.
