Messi named La Liga’s highest scorer

FC Barcelona’s Leo Messi won the Pichichi Award as the highest goalscorer in La Liga. The Argentine scored 50 goals in the competition (in 37 matches), thrashing Ronaldo’s record of 40 set last season. This is the second Pichichi for Messi and marks the 11th time that a FC Barcelona player has finished as La Liga’s top scorer.
