Argentine breezed past Paraguay 3-1 in a Saturday qualifying match for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, led by FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi.  Argentina’s goals all came from liga players with Angel DiMaria and Gonzalo Higuain scoring in the first half, and Messi sealing the victory in the second. Messi’s goal came off a divine freekick from 30 meters and indicates that the world’s best player may be adding yet another dimension to his game. The victory means that for the moment Argentina is top of their South American qualifying group.
