Luis Alberto travels to Barcelona to sign his contract
According to Spanish sports daily El desmarque, Sevilla striker and Spanish youth international Luis Alberto (19) will become a Barcelona B player in the next few hours. The player has reportedly left for Barcelona at 19:00 hours on Sunday.
After prolonged negotiations, the two clubs have finally reached an agreement on the transfer last Friday, and Barcelona B coach Eusebio gave his final o.k. to the transfer this morning. The player is expected to undergo a medical examination on Monday and later sign his new contract with the Catalan club. Alberto will initially sign on a season long loan deal worth €200,000, with Barca reserving an option to make it permanent for €4 million next season.
Sources close to the player reveal he is very excited and eager to join Barca B under coach Eusebio’s orders, “Luis Alberto faces a new challenge in his life and wants to gain minutes, to show what he could not at Seville due to lack of opportunity.”
