Jordi Alba cleared to play
FC Barcelona’s first team held its penultimate training session this Friday afternoon before the League match against Granada, which will be played on Saturday night at the Camp Nou (22:00). Nineteen members of the first team took part in the training session, including Jordi Alba, who missed the last few matches with flu and who received his medical clearance after the session. Also present at training were Barça B players Tello and Sergi Roberto.
For the match against Granada, Tito Vilanova will be missing Puyol, Piqué, Iniesta, Cuenca, Muniesa, and Abidal. The blaugrana captain, Puyol, worked on the pitch during today’s training session, but apart from his teammates. The defender, who strained the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last weekend, exercised more gently with the physios of the team.
The players will train again on Saturday at the Camp Nou in what will be the final training session before facing Granada. The session will start at 12:30 and be closed to the press.
