Seventeen minutes into the match against Real Madrid, Dani Alves exited the pitch with a muscular injury in his left thigh. Martín Montoya took the Brazilian’s place on the field.
The Club’s Medical Services carried out further tests and have determined that the player has a grade 1 muscular injury to the hamstring of his left thigh. He is expected to be out for three weeks. After today’s match, Alves was called up to the Brazil national team for two friendlies against Iraq and Japan set for October 11 and 16. He will now miss those two matches.
