Cuenca: “I learn from Pedro”
FC Barcelona continues preparations for the King’s Cup Final on May 25 at the Vicente Calderón Stadium. In that spirit, Isaac Cuenca has analyzed the consequences of the defeat of their rivals, Athletic Club, in the Europa League on Wednesday. “Athletic will be equally motivated in the King’s Cup Final. It will be very difficult,” he said. The player also believes that his Barcelona side can learn something from what happened in Bucharest last night. Barça’s game against Athletic “will be the second final, the errors of the first one will be corrected and game will be even harder.”
Cuenca also said that the “contract with Tito is good news for everyone, especially for Barça which continues with the same model.” On his future, Isaac said, “I don’t follow transfers rumors or gossips about signings. I owe the club and do what they tell me. Here no one wants to go, or be loaned, because you never know what can happen, but if the club decides something else I have to accept it.”
In addition, Cuenca praised the atmosphere within the squad and especially his teammate Messi: “he is undoubtedly the best in the world and deserves another Ballon d’Or.” Isaac added that “Leo helps a lot, especially the younger players, he encourage us.” He also wanted to mention Pedro: “I look at him and learn football as we play in the same position and also because he comes from the youth academy.”
