Barça to receive 2.2 million euros from UEFA

FC Barcelona will receive 2.2 million euros from UEFA for the participation of its players in the European Championships held earlier this year in Poland and Ukraine.

FC Barcelona is one of the 575 European clubs that are eligible for compensation for loaning out players to national teams for the Poland and Ukraine European Championships. Thanks to the agreement between the ECA (European Club Association) and UEFA, clubs will be compensated for loaning out their players for both the qualifying stage and the final stage of the European championship.

As many as 575 European clubs are eligible to receive compensation, and Barça will be the third-most compensated club with 2,210,202 euros behind Bayern Munich (3,095,393 euros) and Real Madrid (2,996,585 euros). It is to be noted that club president Sandro Rosell is the vice-president of the ECA (European Club Association).
