The seven FC Barcelona players named to Spain 23 man squad for the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine have arrived today at the team camp in the Ciudad de Fútbol de Las Rozas. The presence of Víctor Valdés, Gerard Piqué, Sergio Busquets, Xavi Hernández, Andrés Iniesta, Cesc Fàbregas, and Pedro Rodríguez means FC Barcelona is once again contributing more players to the side than any other club.

The players were also joined today by the injured Carles Puyol and David Villa. Both are regular members of La Roja, but will miss this June’s tournament due to injuries. As true legends of the Spanish team, they visited the players and staff that Vicente del Bosque called up and offered them some words of encouragement before the important tournament.
