FC Barcelona centre back Andreu Fontàs (22) was officially presented earlier this afternoon as a RCD Mallorca player after passing a medical (positive news considering his recent long term knee injury).  Fontàs will be at the club on loan until 30 June 2013.  He mentioned the terrible injury in the press meeting, stating simply, “I need minutes“.  Fontàs is going into this with the correct attitude, saying, “This is a very good opportunity and I’m excited to be here“.  This is the correct move for a player his age, minutes are the only thing now that will advance his abilities.
