Tito Vilanova’s Barça continues to prepare for the team’s debut in the 2012-13 Liga season against Real Sociedad on Sunday. All the available players from the first team trained this afternoon on pitch no. 1 of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, among whom was Alexis Sanchez, the last blaugrana player to arrive back in Barcelona after national team duty with Chile. Also participating in the session were Barça B’s Cristian Tello and Sergi Roberto.

Carles Puyol and Jonathan dos Santos were able to train normally with the rest of the squad again today, as they had at Thursday’s training session. Midfielder Thiago Alcántara is not yet fully recovered from the injury that prevented him from taking part in the Olympic Games, and today he continued doing specific work on the sidelines.

On Saturday the team will return to the Ciutat Esportiva to continue preparing for Sunday evening’s match. The session will be behind closed doors, starting at 9 in the morning. Afterwards, Tito Vilanova will speak at a press conference.
