FC Barcelona left back Eric Abidal (32), who has become an icon to blaugrana players and fans alike, has stated on his Facebook that he has resumed training indoors.

It was on 15th March 2012 that the announcement about Abidal’s liver transplant was made by Barcelona. He underwent the crucial surgery on 10th April and was released from the hospital on May 21.

7 hours ago, Abidal made the following announcement on his Facebook page, addressed to his fans:

Hello my friends,
I hope you are well, I’m writing you to give you some news: I’ve started again to train indoors, for a little time now, and I would like to say a big thank you to the Catalans for their great welcoming, in Camp Nou, during the official presentation!
I thank you for your support!

totalBarça wishes Abidal a safe and steady return to full fitness. Hopefully, the day when we see him marshaling the left side of our defense is not that far away!
