Without a shadow of doubt Cuenca.

  2. minges86 says:

PUYOL!!! with that goal and those spins… not to mention all the tackles and interceptions in such an up n down game!! great game capitano!!

  3. anti says:

I know who wasn't Man Of The Match. His name is Messi, absolutely.

  4. Burning Witch says:

Puyol, not only for the goal. In the second half he was amazing, both in defence and attack. :) What a double roulette. :D Million times better than zizane, who used to make roulettes without any player around him. :D
Another poor game by Messi. The more people say how great he is, that he's the best ever, the worse he plays.

  6. Barcaboydhakal says:

Puyol for MOM. Cesc played good today. I was hoping to see Tello for more than just 2 minutes, but that's okay. We'll show them who's the boss at camp nou!

  7. TRUETHIOBARCAFAN says:

puyol Got Skillz ahhahah well done puyi

  8. vile19 says:

Barca play for a draw..?? and with some time wasting tactic..?? well..wooww..hufhhh… 5/10 performance..

  9. Byronic says:

Tough choice for me… but my gut says Cuenca, despite an epic performance by el capitan

  10. nia says:

    Pyoul, no doubt.

  11. _Lily says:

Messi's tired and overworked and really needs to be benched whether he likes it or not. However, as fans we need to stand behind him in his time of difficulty, not turn on him.

    • Fenderek says:

Yes, agreed. But he does need to rest, it will be good fro him, for the team. Fuck Cristina, let him score against all those crap teams even ten goals per game. We need a sharp Messi.

  12. Without any doubt… Puyol

  13. bender says:

we are missing an experienced striker in front who is a bit more selfish…our strikers are way too young..

    i mean someone like

villa, ibra, henry or etoo… would love to see etoo again at barca

    Puyol.
How did Messi get even 4 votes. He was terrible, missplaced passes, missed penalty. He hasn't been himself all season.

    • Conor says:

All season? Yes, because +30 goals so far this season is nothing.

We can't expect him to be excellent 24/7 365 days a year, give the man a break, he's been unfortunate at times.

      • twoleftfeet says:

Who exactly is expecting him to be excellent every game? He missed a penalty today and a one-on-one chance vs Villarreal in the first half. An in-form Messi would score those no problem. If he's tired, then he should be rested. We can't have him walking on the pitch trying delicate lobs when a hard kick on the ball would suffice.

    • AyaFCB says:

seriously,. bad all season.. WTF,,, give the boy a break.. every single player gets the chance to be rested except for him.. he can not be ordinary in some matches!!! he was not the great messi with goals and assists but I don't think it is his fault,,, its Pep's he has to give the boy some rest we are dropping points and not scoring with him fatigued in the pitch anyhow.. give him a rest for two games and then he will be back to score and be Messi..

      • twoleftfeet says:

I didn't write 'bad' all season. I wrote he hasn't been himself all season. Only 4 goals away from home in Spain… If that's good, more power to you.

    • Cristina_Cabron says:

      All season my ass

      • twoleftfeet says:

He hasn't been playing well. Sure he has scored goals, but only twice has he been decisive. Against Athletic and against Malaga. Every other time he has scored, it has been a blowout. Compare this to last season, when in the league alone his goals were decisive for 17 of the total 96 points or 18 percent. This season he missed the crucial p.k. vs Sevilla and has only scored in two games away from home.

        • Cristina_Cabron says:

decisive? BS. how about the 2nd leg of spanish super cup? UEFA Super cup? is that last season? vs santos first goal? 2nd leg vs milan? Atletico madrid or Mallorca? and many others… some of us easily forget such moments..

  15. _Lily says:

Most of our players were looking good today. Pinto made that boneheaded mistake (WHAT WAS HE THINKING?) and Messi looked a bit off, but on the whole, they were pressing and looking much better than they did against Villarreal.

I think that a little more rest would do them wonders. Hopefully, Messi will be benched this weekend.

    • messisays says:

I agree he should but I doubt Pep would do it to him.He will take it as a slight and as much as I think he is grea, he doesn't do well with not getting his way.

  16. _D10S_ says:

    Puyol man of the match!

Seriously, I sometimes think Messi is retarded, every keeper knows he shoots to goalkeepers left and he still doesn't change it, he should be taken off the penalty takers list…

  17. david says:

no one! messi was weakkk wtf!! only mascherano was ok…..dont forget valencias goal was from puyol side and more chances

    • AyaFCB says:

Puyol was not weak..he was a beast today,,, and on messi; he is not weak he is just tired and fatigued and it is time for Pep to notice that and put him to rest for some time..all the players get rested except him and unfortunately he is human as any one of them and need the rest as any one of them..

  18. _Lily says:

On the subject of Messi's PK:

I'd forgotten this during the game, but Diego Alves is actually really good at stopping PKs. Messi needed to be less predictable, but if you watch the kick, it looks like Alves kind of faked him out, which was why Messi went for the right.

I'm not sure anyone else would have done any better.

    • @baonerges says:

diego alves is easily the only reason valencia didn't lose today.

    • minges86 says:

well put.. not enough credit goes to the goalkeeper in this situation… it was a good save by a good keeper… its not like messi shot badly and missed

people forget that there is more to scoring goals than the guy shooting the ball

  19. conterato says:

why is barca the only team that play their reserve keeper!? no other teams are, pinto makes too much mistakes

    • minges86 says:

no other team play their reserve keeper? u obviously havent seen many other games

      • conterato says:

well real madrid and valencia havent in there maches against barca

        • minges86 says:

because teams like to test themselves against barca. barca are the best and they dont want to be thumped, so they have to play their strongest team.

  20. AyaFCB says:

No one is taking it away from our captain THE GREAT NUMBER 5 OUR PUYOL…

  21. nadir says:

I think we played a good game, but we were unlucky infront of goal. We had great chances to score, and many players played a good game. I think this game was one of the hardest of the season, and we went to play with a different line-up that missed atleast 5 starters. Also, why all the hating on Messi? It's Messi ffs, he can have a bad day, but still manages to do amazing things! Luck wasn't on his side.

    For motm, Puyol hands down!

  22. gomadridgo says:

Messi the best player in the world with 74 % of penality accuracy….Jajajahajajajaja what a joke!!!

    • matoe says:

He rarely gets to practice them because we very rarely get penalties, unlike you guys.

    • Im_Cule says:

If anything this is a compliment to Messi that he can have 74% penalty accuracy and still be by far the best player in the world…

  23. FCBLife says:

Something is seriously wrong! We didnt play too bad, but it looked SLOW! Cesc extremely slow i mean too slow! Messi was just off today nothing more to it, but he should be allowed to be considering he is the best! But this team needs somethig different i have said itbefote we need a target man like cavani, hulk, rvp or even llorente, it gives the opposition more to worry about than just the tiki taka. Mind u where has that passing game gone these past couple months except for the santos game!? We are not opponong space like we used to!

  24. @baonerges says:

man of the match was ACTUALLY cesc's headband.

  25. fcbj says:

The main problem was Xavi not directing the midfield. We had 58% possession, that's about the least we had in years. The team wasn't in control due to that. I'm sure that we'll beat them at the Camp Nou if Xavi plays and does his thing.
