Xavi wants to sabotage Messi? lol

Do you remember how we played this season when Xavi was not in the team? Everyone has off days, especially considering Xavi is coming off a muscle tear injury and this was his first game back, but this season he has easily been one of the most consistent player. He and Messi can't do everything when other players don't deliver.

Also if Barca do sit Xavi, who takes over his role dictating the pace and flow of the game? Thiago? He is still nowhere ready to take that role. He more often than not plays in a style that is similar to Iniesta where he attacks the goal. Cesc? He is not comfortable with his short passing and is still more focused on the attacking option as a CAM. There is no one that we have that is like Xavi and he is still needed (that is an understatement). Xavi has never been fast, quick., physical,etc. He has always been the conductor of the team. His job is still invaluable and probably more important than anyone on the team (yes even more than Messi because Xavi's affects nearly every single player around him, his job affects how the team functions and plays. When he is off the field, you know it instantly because the game doesn't flow the same).

If Barca do sell a few players, I would personally prefer that we sign Jordi Alba, Javi Martinez, and possible Llorente to be our X-factor. He is a very good player, knows the Spanish game, and unlike Ibra, he has no ego. He would have no issues playing second fiddle to Messi and still being very effective. These buys would not only reinforce our defense but it would also add another completely different attacking option, an option that Barca have not had all season. Llorente does well for the Spain national team in a play-style that mirrors what Barca do, that is one of the reasons I think he would fit it and work well.
