My vote goes toooo…. Perhaps Xavi or Maschete, or Cesc :)

    • cruyffish says:

I voted Ces…but Xavi or Masch would deserve it too.

    • BarcaMax says:

It is hard to pick this time! ALL the players did great job tonight!!!
Football Gods are still mad at Messi for some reason!!!

    • alexis says:

ALEXIS SANCHEZ!!!! He was my most interesting player! He made matthieu look like a Crybaby, he defended his side well even in the absence of Alves, his pace was useful in wearing out alba and matthieu(thier deadliest combination). in a 3-4-3 formation wingers play too wide so its only the center players that scores, but he made an assist. Who is FASTER IN ALEXIS AND TELLO.

      • XavierHernandezCREUS says:

Tello is the fastest player in our squad, Alexis is second, but with the ball no one is faster and more dangerous than Messi!

    • guest says:

why must you always be the first to comment after a game? do you sit around and press "refresh" every minute so that your comments are first?

  2. LeónDragón dAz says:

    I I 5 I I

  3. Viscabarcaa says:

If I can vote diego alves, I will vote him.

It is because of him the scoreline is only 2-0.

It could be 4-0 or 5-0.

And count too the save against messy penalty

He is better than casillas i think

  4. minges86 says:

    great team performance!

btw, it was good to see Tito on the bench :)

  5. cruyffish says:

    Fab!

  6. riquelme8 says:

    Cesc Fabregas !!!

  7. twoleftfeet says:

I voted the team. Best performance in a long while.

  8. rooney says:

    Best performers in descending order:
Puyol, Fabregas, Mascherano, Pinto, Messi, Abidal, Xavi, Thiago, Pique, Alexis=Cuenca

  9. arman says:

everyone played well….abidal puyol mascherano pique messi tiago fab……messi didn't score but that was one of the best performance this season….

  10. FCB1899 says:

For me it was Puyol, he saved us in two occasions and was like titan on the right side of the pitch. I think that Thiago were really good today but I feel sorry for Messi who missed like 3 chances, but he just didn't have luck today, but i'm sure that he will score next game :)

  11. twoleftfeet says:

That Diego Alves… I swear I was cursing at him through the screed. Hell of a 'keeper. I hope he repeats the same heroics vs Real Madrid, if he plays against them.

  12. vonbelle94 says:

Fabregas is pure class… I keep saying it… Messi aside, Fabregas is our only constant threat on goal.
We bashed him last week, not because we think he's poor, but because we have started relying on him in tough games… HE SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY PLAYER WHO KNOWS EXACTLY HOW TO FIND THAT LINGING SPACE IN THE BOX… If only he scored that last ditch shot against villareal, the story could have been different
    Cheers to the guy

Abi had a great game too… Mascherano is simply amazing

  13. Arvine says:

I’d say Cesc Fabregas. He played in between false 9 and the number 10, and did a very good job there.

  14. Amy says:

I ended up voting for the team: Several names popped into my head, but it was a real team effort after all!

  15. bender says:

motm pique…. had a great game lost no battle and had although some great skills in front of goal…

would have been messi… but how the hell did he make it out of there with no goal…lol

flop of the match cuenca… still not involved as much as the other strikers in the barca game .. had one great action a pass to messi… bad that was all…didnt won a single sprint duell.. telle made a bigger impact than he didn in the last 3 mins

  16. rooney says:

    Tello better than cuenca imho.

    • vonbelle94 says:

Cuenca is a lil more dynamic… tello, with all due respect is still a bit one-styled. (you probably know his only style of dribbling). Against a team like Valencia, he might struggle, But its a MIGHT.

    • pedrito says:

iniesta is better than cuenca and telor

  17. messi says:

my respect fir pep i cant believe it i cant believe what is happening im the iggest barca fan and it hurted me so much when i saw our squad it hurted the most even more than a los to real when all my theories were right keita absent busquets gets the first time hurt we dont have any other central defensive midfielder and he agin doesnt play mascherano its unbelievable truly im very very disappointed its a scandal that i wrote often on this site i know that this would happen a shame we an absolutely monster mascherano he showed it 2 times how he can open up space that we need that much he is truly 10 times better than busquets in any any football aspect that there is i know that this would happen he dont want that we see that masche can contribute much more than busquets and we all know how it works in barca a shame i say it again he even played without defensive midfielder in a game where we needed much one that says it all i was 100 pro sure about my opinion and now everbody shoud know cause its our team and we shopud react its not the best for the club and not fair to mascherano im very pissed off like i was never before this busquets is protected and we should react by putting pressure

    • Maxmaxmaz says:

You my friend have entered the Guinness World Records. That had to be the longest paragraph without any commas or periods. Dear god i had to decipher what you wrote. And when i finally managed to understand it, it was bunch of rubbish. Mascherano is 10 times better than busquets ? seriously ?

    • messi says:

everybody has unserstand my message, and i know what im talking about my story is true and the game yesterday was the proof for that .He dont wants us to see how mascherano would be ticking in our middle, cause he knows mascherano will contribute a hell more than this busquets ,why you guys dont want to believe its fact busquets is protected i know that ,maybe cause your catalans here i dont know but its the truth .To your info mascherano was bought as an back up cover right why he hasnt played one game in his position,i tell you if you dont get it my friend cause the fans and media will react and will put pressure on him he knows that and does not go any risk .do you understand it now, and hell yeah maybe not 10 times but in any aspect of the game.

  18. messi says:

    why my comment are blocked

  19. Hossam says:

C'mon guys where is my LEO in your comment ?

  20. nadir says:

    I voted the team!

OT: Mali got beat by Ivory Coast, which means Keita will play a bronze match against Ghana. Too bad, Mali is a good team but Ivory Coast have loads of great players.

And our former player Martin Caceres scores twice against Milan! Happy for him!

  21. Puyol…. Puyol…. Puyol… could also be Xavi, but no Puyol… just Puyol… did I say Puyol? Oh sorry I mean, Legend Puyol!

  22. david says:

messi..! im the only one who think that tello is more effective than cuenca?

  23. @baonerges says:

man of the match pep guardiola, for his press conference:

"It's the third final in 4 years. Guess that should make some think for five seconds before saying this group lost motivation.

    and

Without Messi all this wouldn't happen. He is the most practical player in the world, no show, never saw him do step overs

    and

Pinto again led us to a final. His passing game helps us a lot. People should take him seriously"

it's almost as good as the puto amo press conference last year.

    • 007 says:

Astonishingly Messi is the only world-class player to NEVER do a step over. Also Iniesta's never done one and neither has Xavi. Amazing, this crop of players. It will indeed be a long time before we see anything like this again.

      • @baonerges says:

in la masia, they teach roulettes instead of step-overs, even to the defenders.

in honour of this our squad can't play a home game without SOMEBODY doing one

      • Im_Cule says:

They are pointless, just showing off, unless you do one or two and shift the ball quickly then there is actually no point in step overs at all

        • vonbelle94 says:

how dare you say they are pointless… You must be a 2009 fan then. Cuz if not, Then you should remember a certain Ronaldinho who made defenders look stupid with those step-overs

        • old world cule says:

          agree with vonbelle94 .
it depends on the player's skill and speed, and also 'who's could make it perfectly'.
you're a babyborn fan, dont know anything but read the history..

    • i1012 says:

nope for me the puto amo is the best press conf pep has ever given :p

  24. Fenderek says:

You guys must be blind. Thiago as a DM was a revelation. Incredibly profficient performance.
Although it was very nice to see Fabregas having a good game again. But this is where needs to be- more in midfield than in attack.

Tello is head and shouldrs above Cuenca who has no influence on the game whatsoever. He had 2 o 3 good games and IMO was promoted too quickly. Jeffren was actually much better than Cuenc, judging by last few games. A t this moment Tello is in much better form.

    • Words says:

You are ignoring that Cuenca is a right winger, being played on the left wing. You are too harsh.

    • Words says:

Oh, and Cuenca is a far smarter player than Jeffren was. Some of the skills Cuenca showed today was marvellous. He also had several great through balls to Messi, but Messi unfortunately couldnt convert it to goal. I think he had slightly bigger influence on the game than Alexis. Not bad for playing out of position on the left wing! Oh, and Tello has a massive advantage in terms of speed, it is especially apparent when coming on as a sub against tired legs.

  25. lumos says:

cesc, finally finds himself. great game by him. cuenca is not great this night, i think tello is more effective at the wings. (bdw his pass to messi was sick)

  26. Mony says:

I'll go with Fabregas I guess, he missed a couple chances but he did score and assisted.

  27. Chuddie says:

Mascherano has improved tremendously since joining Barca. I didn't know he was that skillful. I thought he was just a destroyer. His long range passing is also very accurate now, not to mention his dribbling.

Anyway, from now on I will only wake up (~5 am) to watch the 2nd half of Barca's game. All the games Barca played that I watched from the beginning they did not do well. But all the games that I started watching from the 2nd half they played very well. So now, I impose this rule upon myself for the good of the team.

  28. _Lily says:

I had a hard time with this. Thiago was brilliant, as were Puyol and Abidal, and Fabregas had a great game as well. Pinto made some great saves. I could honestly say something great about every player on that field. They all performed well, and it was great to see Iniesta back, if only for a few minutes.

But ultimately, I had to go with Leo. He played a great game, and was a constant danger.

  29. Cool as a Cule says:

Where the Fuck are the guys who abused Cesc couple of days ago. Come out of shade Suckers!!! :@

  30. amenn says:

puyol for the ballon d'or!!man this guy has been fantastic since his comeback

  31. amenn says:

@fenderek,it is not the first time thiago plays in the DM position for the first team this season,i don't remember exactly the game, bbt it was in la liga i think.

  32. GhassanCule says:

    The team definitely!

  33. ViscaBarca says:

Fabregas was the last weeks very bad and robbish he is to much slowly voor the barca play but he make’s his speed good with his ball passes en know how to get free so he always can score if xavi or messi give him a awesome pass for me the last weeks one player is playing awesome JAVIER MASCHERANO

  34. Shuddhan says:

Does anyone remember Luis Enrique, who dazzled in Barca playing with Guardiola? Now, Cesc is our NEW Luis Enrique, that’s what I feel Guardiola is trying to mould Cesc into; one who scores key goals by playing as false 9.
