One of the footballers who is currently living a complex situation as he sails in a sea of transfer rumors is Marc Bartra, who has attracted greatly the attention of Spanish club Sporting Gijon. Barça B’s centre back is one of the objectives on the list of the coach of the Asturian club, who has put himself in contact with the Blaugrana’s coach to find out the club’s intentions concerning the immediate future of the young defender. This is keeping in mind that Guardiola and Maniel Preciado have an excellent relationship.
As proof of their intense interest in Bartra and of their strong intention to acquire the defender, Sporting have been willing to place the player in an exchange deal between themselves and Barça for Gijon’s left back Jose Angel, who the Catalan club have been following for awhile. The same has happened with ex-azulgrana Botia, who Barça have, until noon on July 15, an option to buy back for cheap to use as an exchange in the transfer market to ease any potential deals.
This is one of the options that Javier ‘Magico’ Diaz, the player’s agent, has discarded this Tuesday in declarations to ‘El Comercio': “Marc entering into a hypothetical operation for buying Botia or Jose Angel is almost impossible,” assured the agent, who did not deny that there was possible interest from the Asturian team for the centre back. “We have a perfect relation with Sporting and we like [being linked with them], but I think that there are very few choices to be made,” he added.
