Give me a couple of days. Kinda busy around the New Year festivities. Two weeks ago I also watched Nr. 14 again, an early 70's documentary around Cruyff. It's striking to see the way Ajax played has been replicated into today's Barça with Pep. If you're interested I will post this one also. It''s entirely Dutch spoken without subs but the images are pure magic.

Thank you for your prayers and support, cruyffish. It's times like these that put the important things in perspective and (sadly,i should say) makes this beautiful game and this fantastic team that we so love seem trivial.

On the upside though, the Philippines is currently enjoying the beginnings of a football renaissance with the recent success of the Azkals -- our NT's nickname is the Filipino slang for a mongrel dog because, well, we don't have a footballing pedigree. So now a lot of Filipinos are already familiar with Paulino Alcantara. Hopefully this could bring in a few more new Barça fans. The more the merrier. Cheers!

I think it says something about the draw of the club that there are so many fans around the globe. Sure, it's easy to be a culé in Spain - just turn on the TV or pick up your copy of Marca and enjoy. I wake up at 5am to stream the game on my laptop from Sydney, and yes I wear a full kit every match ;) And I know I am not the only one.
Now THAT, my friends, is commitment. (My poor nonbeliever roomies disagree, of course, because they get woken up with cant del barça)

Lets see the bandwagon kids do that.

It's a good read, coolit so i don't really mind the novel. I'm from the Philippines too and I started out as a Barça bandwagoner. I have always loved football and started playing as a kid barefoot with a small Robertson's basketball and a pair of sandals as goal markers. My love affair with Barça though started when we bought Maradona in 1982-ish. That was when i started following Barça matches -- and by following i mean watching 3-4 month old game videos in Betamax relatives send from elsewhere. Then i started reading about FC Barcelona in whatever literature i could find so that i could learn their history. From then on i religiously followed Barça and only Barça. (You can imagine how i suffered during those lean years when we won nothing and i couldn't console myself by saying, "It's okay because my other team won Serie A anyway.") It actually helped (although this might be misconstrued) that being a Probinsyano from the Visayas (where the legendary Paulino Alcantara is from) i could identify parallelisms between the Catalan vs Castillan rivalry and that old Bisdak dislike for Imperial Manila -- every love affair starts somewhere, eh? Visca Barca! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Mabuhay si Paulino Alcantara!

Supporting a club outside EPL in my country[Nigeria] is bravery. l started watching FCB after 2002 WC, following 'Dinho in particular but Iniesta changed me during 2006 UCL finals. Nov.13[2010] and Dec.10[2011], l won more fans for my club.
Well I am from Pakistan and I started watching football in 1999 when my national cricket team lost the World Cup final. I guess I was so disappointed that I just wanted to watch some new game. Fortunately for me Star Sports used to show weekly highlight of the Spanish league and one afternoon I saw Rivaldo and Figo tormenting the opposition. This made me curious and I waited for the next week highlight. I started following Barca but sparingly.

But the thing which made me fall in love for Barca was the summer of 2001 when Rivaldo produced a moment of pure magic to put Barca back into the champions league with a hatrick and one amazing last minute goal. I am sure the old cules remember that moment and I can bet that every single barca fan would have jumped in joy when that ball went inside the net. From that moment I decided that I will support Barca till I die.

Enjoy the video <a href="http://www.boxofficefootball.com/blast-from-the-past-rivaldo-overhead-kick-barcelona-v-valencia/" rel="nofollow">http://www.boxofficefootball.com/blast-from-the-p...</a>
