The first team of FC Barcelona continued preparing for their final match of the year: the return leg against L’Hospitalet in the Copa del Rey that will take place this Thursday at 22:00 at Camp Nou. Pep Guardiola, who this afternoon led his squad’s penultimate training session, worked with a total of 19 footballers. This included 12 players from the first team, among whom was Dani Alves. The Brazilian trained on a voluntary basis alongside his teammates, despite being granted an early holiday break along with the other South American players, as well as Keita and Abidal. However, Alves will not take part in the Copa match against L’Hospitalet and, therefore, Guardiola will have 11 player available from the first team. Víctor Valdés was also present at today’s training, after being absent on Tuesday to attend the Festa de l’Esport Català.
In addition to the first team players, seven footballers from Barça B took part in today’s session: Cuenca, Montoya, Sergi Roberto, Muniesa, Tello, Dos Santos, and Rafinha, with the only absence being goalkeeper Oier.
The team will train again on Thursday at 12:30, at Camp Nou, in a closed session.
