Official: FC Barcelona’s 2011/2012 Home Shirt
We here at totalBarca are pleased to present the new FC Barcelona 2011/12 home shirt! Though the official announcement is due to be made on May 17th, FC Barcelona’s official Facebook page has posted the following pictures. More after the jump!
This design matches the leaked design from months ago, with it’s nine red stripes that narrow as they go from the upper right of the wearer’s shoulder to the lower left hem. The sleeves are completely blue and, in a new twist, the ring collar is completely red.
As previously assumed, UNICEF has been moved to a spot on the back below where the name and numbers will appear while Qatar Foundation appears on the front.
“Mes que un club” appears just below the collar on the inside of the shirt and on the back, the letters “FCB” are placed above the senyera, or flag of Catalunya.
The details on the shorts and socks are still unknown. We’re also still waiting on the reveal of the away kit. Will it be all black, as has been rumoured? Or are we in store for another blindingly bright change strip?
We’ll have more details as soon as they’re available!
So what are your thoughts? Do you like the placement of the UNICEF logo? Would you have gone with another design? Or are you in love with it just the way it is?

Not sure about this one. Would have prefered it with UNICEF on the front as it is a more internationally recogniseable logo than the Qatar Foundation which seems to be abit overpowering on the front.
As for the smaller stripes and darker shades again massive oppertunity missed as I think this won't stand out on the pitch as an iconic insperational strip when view from the stands or on the TV.
Overall a bit disappointing.
If we take into account our general disappointment of Quatar foundation deal, the shirt itself is modern and I am sure that it will look great on the pitch, those "studio" photos always bring disappointment, remember last year? "I believe there is too much yellow and it looks cheap.." or few years ago: "I prefer more stripes…" It really looks better than expected.
as long as they wear this sponsor on the front, i won't be buying a shirt. they sold the soul of the club. i am even thinking about cancelling my membership. it's a real shame.

while i don't really like it that much (if we go for the one stripe option i would prefer it to be bigger), but it's still a thousand times better than this weird dungheap that we're stuck with.
exactly! that's what i said in an earlier post: from TV or from the stands, it will look like a purple blur, not a balugrana!
I actually think its a nice shirt, different from what we have had in the past, and we have had really shit shirts in the past. I also like the idea of having Unicef at the back, its obvious that Qatar foundation was going at the front of the shirt seeing what they are paying Barca for the sponsorship. I know others prefer Unicef at front but in this day and age and with the prices on good players having over 30million comming in from Qatar foundation is not a bad bit of business!!!!! Think about it this way, its a quality player that can be bought every year thanks to OUR SPONSORS!!!!!

but why they have qatar sponsor
and not unicef
Bcuz qatar foundation is paying barca for having its name printed on thier shirt. Barca had to pay UNICEF to have thier name printed on the shirt.
The shirt's not too bad, I definitely don't like the design, although the QF doesn't look too bad.
