la liga is so much more joy to watch than stupid and skillless english football
with spain won the world cup and barca is the best club in the world how can you possibly think english football is better?

If you noticed from the last two El clasico we've played Madrid players Kicked us a lot so the best thing to do is to get them caution so that they wont take advantage of us again. I think is a deliberate act so don't criticizes our boys.

please don't call your self a barca fan. How can you honestly support a club if you don't like what it stands for? This possession keeping is our tactic. I believe you should switch to supporting some epl team if they are more entertaining to you.

I think they kind of had to. Madrid got away with some dirty dirty play and took advantage of the referee's leniency to get in our faces and throw us off the game plan. That's how they win. The play-acting really only started after Stark made some questionable calls, inlcuding calling not one but two Di Maria dives as fouls (carding Alves for one).

I still think it sucks, we're kind of fighting fire with fire, i'd much prefer we take the high road and just play our game but at the end of the day, when you're playing against a team of thugs, you gotta find a way to call them out.

Look man. When a team (in this case Madrid) sits nine of their players in their own half and tries to play on the counter attack, the LAST thing you want to do is just push forward with out the semblance of a clear chance on goal. Who exactly are you blaming for this game being boring? Barca, not wanting to gift the ball away, or Mourinho playing out-and-out defense?

The thing about this game is that when Barca had possession, Madrid didn't care. They let them have it and just sat back in their bunker. If you want to complain about possession percentage you really shouldn't blame Barca. If Madrid wants the ball, wants possession, they should try to obtain it.

I would love to see Bolton or Newcastle try to do what Barca does every week. I would love to see their defenders do more than clear the ball. I would love to see them score a beautiful goal instead of the clustered, scrum, lucky goals that I see from those teams. I would love to see those teams string more than three passes together. But they don't.

You keep referring to the EPL and all its teams as being so much more exciting, but how about we go take a look at the Chel$ki v Manure CL game a few weeks ago. You think that was exciting?

It used to be my cup of tea. When it was a bit competitive, when non-classicos were interesting, when one team doesn't have 75% possession.
I try to look beyond the fact I'm a barca fan. I'm trying to enjoy a frickin football game, and it is non-existent.
of course i know why Barca play this way, but for god sake, they are 1 man down, with 25 minutes to go – TRY TO FUCKING SCORE. it's not like they are bad players, they are the best of the bunch.
Can you seriously say you were entertained in the first half? so what if mourinho parked the bus. until pepe's red card barca barely tried to breach it.
All i asked for as a viewer is shots and goals from both teams.

But do you really think a team like Bolton or Newcastle or any other team can't pass between their 4 defenders? is football about being safe and keeping the ball so you won't concede or give your opponent the advantage? for me, whether you have the ball or not, if you don't try to advance up the field, your playing defensive.
Barca's possession football is their way of parking the bus, and they can do it cuz they are technically gifted. madrid has strong midfielders, so they used them to park the bus, and it worked for them until the unjustified red card.
I hate mou's tactics too, cuz they bore me. but barca are starting to bore me too.

I'd like to see this mythical league where no one dives or cries. There must be a different EPL broadcast elsewhere, because the EPL I see here in Los Angeles several times a week has a lot of diving, crying, and ref hounding, and in big matches you often see both teams just trying to escape with a draw.

That's not to say the EPL is "worse" than La Liga in some quantifiable way, but it's ridiculous to suggest that your favorite league doesn't contain certain bad aspects of the game because everyone around the world can watch and choose for themselves without your subpar sales job.

Valdes is probably the best keeper in the world when it comes to distribution and control with his feet. That is what makes him the perfect keeper for Barca and a better fit than any of the keepers you mentioned.

As soon as you try to move forward for means of 'entertainment' and nothing else you will cede possession and immediately give the opponent the advantage you had. If you don't understand why Barca play the way they do, then I can't imagine that you are much of a fan of the team.
I agree with you on the excitement of the leagues' respective tables, at least to an extent. Nowadays it is either going to be Madrid or Barca. Hands down. But you know what? The EPL is hyped to hell about how exciting it is and tense and competitive, but then the same two(at best three) teams win the league every damn year. Over the past 20 years, both La Liga and the EPL have the same number of individual league winners. Five. The only reason the EPL is as 'tense' as it is today, is because of the giant influx of foreign investment and unlimited cash now available to smaller teams.
You can hate Barca and Madrid and the Spanish league as much as you want, it's obviously not your cup of tea. But don't come in here with your little snapshot at the camp nou, parade around like you are a fan and spout ignorant nonsense.
