If you promote him now, his play time will be from nearly every game of the season to 2 games a season.

That is a detrimental loss of play time for a developing young player like him. To ensure he gets as much play time as possible, it is best if he stays in his team right now and only promote him when he is around 22 and is 'actually' needed for the first team.

England's youngsters are much more stronger than spainards and in this age, that's a larger different than we expected. It likes spainish's youth football that so many team focus on winning before develop the youth. The game plan is to use strong body more than skill and talent. Some time they get good results, but is it the best way to treat theirs youngsters? I don't think so! When the time has come, they could devolop theirs muscle as they wish, but nowaday it's time for devolop vision, skills, gameplans etc. That might be tough to except when you don'tget the results but in the very end it'll be like spainish national team and england national team. one with a lot of talented players with visions and skills, another with a world class players crisis.

England are Good when playing at youth level but its when they have to really perform at Major cups and Tournaments, when the whole country is watching that our so called stars (you know who you are Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard) go missing and flop. The only English player who can hold his head high (in a footballing sense certainly NOT a moral sense) is Ashley Cole. He is the only one who ever justifies his place in the team.

I don't know why you on here are so down on English people and football. In England everyone praises Spanish players and your teams, there are endless articles about how we can copy your philosophy etc. Those who think English people think we are the best are totally wrong and it's a complete myth. We are our own biggest critics. You should listen to an interview by Torres recently and Alonso in the past where they have said how much Enlgish people respect footballers from Spain and even if suffering poor form we don't criticise, we try to encourage.

Why not promote him? If he's good enough? I haven't seen that much of Deulofeu so far, but from what I've seen he looks like twice the player Bojan is.

agreed, look at Bojan.
Although I want to see some youngsters at the last game of the season.
Hopefully we got the Liga sealed by then.
And give some youngsters their debut.

It was great seing Muniesa come into the field, the red card sucked though.
But its just nice to see our youngsters make their debut

Gerard was influential in the goal scored by Spain.. but darn their defense is weak. Their combination play is good, but not good enough against sheer physicality. Sheer physicality > technical prowess in U-17. But let's see in the senior NT how that is the other way around.

Yup its over, ENgland through to the finals in June. Spain unfortunately out due to the crappy draw system by UEFA where the two finalists of last years tournament had to face each other in a playoff! It could also be a case of very few Barca players in the team being the reason.

Calvet wasquite impressive after coming on, wish he had started. Not the best of game by Gerard but he had a decent outing still.

Next years Spain team will be a lot better as it is one of the best team La Masia has ever produced, we have around seven to ten players in the academy from the 95 generation that are capable of playing in the national team. I'm pretty sure we'll see atleast seven of them.
